Of course, you can add more to this list if you ask the ranch to arrange off-site activities, such as clay pigeon shooting, river rafting, hot air balloon rides, or gravity-based (lift-served) mountain biking at Steamboat. While exploring the property’s 20 miles of private groomed trails, I had some sense of how hard the horses have to work in the snow. I enjoyed nearly one-on-one attention from snowsports instructors during my first few attempts at Nordic skiing. One of the guests I met during my stay told me she picked The Home Ranch specifically because of how good its Nordic skiing trails are — and I couldn’t help but agree. As noted above, all-day rides are offered several times during the week, as well as a ‘Ride Fish Ride’ offering, which combines the two sports.

You will never go hungry; Pastry Chef Douglas Short’s pastries and freshly baked breads were my personal downfall. Would love to speak to someone who cares in person about this. Issues are address very quickly and they are always happy to answer a question. We appreciated the quick response by the warranty team. I loved the weekly phone calls keeping us updated on the current status of our home. Extremely satisfied, everything went better than anticipated from start to finish.

My hardware in the bathrooms isnt mounted correctly so they are all twisted and not secure. The toilet paper holders drop the toilet paper on the ground regularly.

They made it easy to build a house from out of state and kept us informed throughout the process. Good solid, personable service from Stan and the tradesmen that came in to address issues. Only disappointment I have is with the finish work and concrete, that has necessitated warranty follow up work. Overall it seems like most of the people that I have been in contact with care about how their customers feel - I just wish it was everyone. From the first contact with Sale team , till move-in, Classic gave me an awesome experience. The team is so helpful, kind, soft spoken and knowledgeable, that we never had to struggle for anything in the journey.

In over 10 months I only had one miscommunication the anyone on the team and it was quickly resolved. Responsive and has committed to fix all of our valid issues.. My concerns are More with initial quality and trades that come to fix issues .. The natural elk habitat on the ranch is spruce and aspen covered slopes with open alpine parks. Homestead Ranch is just a stones throw from the Black Canyon National Park.

They made us feel like family and are still to this day just as happy to see us one year later. It was a little slow but that is expected in the current climate so that’s just what it is .. The big leak a few weeks before closing was a big concern and the quality concern is 99.9% to do with door hanging .. The process itself was excellent and we worked with some great people who were very supportive all the way.. I like the overall quality of construction and the customer service provided throughout the process. There are specific design elements that I would recommend to have revisited.

The prospect of riding in the winter had piqued my interest, and The Home Ranch — a dude ranch about 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colo. — is one of a few places that offers true winter riding. I stayed in the main lodge in a room called Seegate.

Around 2 pm, an afternoon ride is offered for all groups, or families can opt for pool time. Though certainly not a one-horse town, it is a one-supermarket town, with a small ranching and tourist community.

Jun 23, 2019For a unique winter travel option, consider The Home Ranch, which offers Nordic skiing as well as horseback riding. Never in my life would I have expected the food to be this good. Usually, the dude ranch experiences bring along cowboy grub like BBQ, pit beans, and meals that don't appeal to foodies. The Home Ranch has access to some of the most incredible produce that grows in the Colorado sunshine. Though the menus are seasonal, you can be sure to find organic vegetables and ranch-raised livestock. And while the quality of the food was impeccable, it never came across as fussy.

I have a toilet that causes negative pressure while flushing and occasionally "burps" sewage air into the master suite. Had the original "warranty" guy get belligerent in my house to the point of forcing him to leave. The light fixtures on the front of garage were cut so large theres a 1/2 of caulking to cover it up. The tile in the master suite is 2 different colors and was told that its normal.... The tile in master suite is also off square by about 3/4 inch over 6 feet.

Gage also led the mountain biking, which included single track and dirt road biking on The Home Ranch’s off-site property, called Murphy-Larson. He also leads additional rides into the national forest land adjacent the ranch, when permitted. In addition to the elevated cuisine and service, the amount of included activities at The Home Ranch is what sets it apart for me from the others we visited.

Around 2 pm, an afternoon ride is offered for all groups, or families can opt for pool time. Most days, we opted for a morning ride followed by an afternoon playing in the mountains in another capacity.
